UPDATE: Motorcyclist hurt in deer collision near Swisher is identified

One person was hurt after a motorcycle collided with a deer on Highway 965 Sunday.
According to a report from the Iowa State Patrol, the motorcycle was traveling southbound on Highway 965 just north of County Road F12 in Swisher when a deer came into the road, causing a collision. The report said the driver - Michael Joe Eichhon, 58, of Swisher - was thrown from the bike and came to rest in the southbound lane.
The driver was taken to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics via ambulance.
