Waterloo police have arrested a man and a woman who allegedly left children alone in parked cars in separate incidents.
Police said officers were dispatched Tuesday to a Walgreens, where they found a 3-year-old girl alone in a car with the windows slightly rolled down. Police said the child had been left for 15 minutes, and they arrested 29-year-old Thomas Zehentner on a charge of child endangerment.
A few hours later, police say they found a 6-month-old boy and a 6-year-old girl alone in a van parked at Wal-Mart. They say the kids had been there for 30 minutes, and officers arrested 22-year-old Ecstacy Marshall on a charge of child endangerment.
Police say the children were turned over to other family members.
Zehenter and Marshall do not yet have attorneys.
