Two people were inside an apartment Saturday afternoon when robbers barged in and stole a TV and a cell phone, police said.
Officers responded around 3 p.m. to a robbery in progress at 1639 First Ave. SE, No. 2. They searched the area, but the two men involved were not located.
According to a police report, one of the two men had a gun when they forced their way inside after one of the occupants answered their knock at the door. Mary Wells, 63, and Lester Ealy, 24, were inside when the men came in, stole the electronics and left.
Wells and Ealy were not hurt.
The suspects were described as two black males, between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10, around 150 pounds. One wore a blue hooded sweat shirt with blue jeans, and the other wore a brown or blue hooded sweat shirt. An investigation was continuing.
