North Liberty man faces third domestic assault charge
A North Liberty man is accused of third offense domestic assault after officers found his girlfriend with multiple injuries Monday night.
Police were dispatched to 245 Sugar Creek Lane at 5:25 p.m. Monday for a reported assault, and found a distraught woman who was complaining of visible injuries, including to both her ears, her right arm and leg.
John E. Jones, 43, of 130 Birch Court, fled before the officers arrived. They later found him at his residence, police said.
Jones is being charged with third offense domestic abuse assault, a class D felony. He is being held at the Johnson County Jail on $15,000 cash bond.
