Rollover near Cedar Rapids hospital injures driver

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Alcohol may have played a role in an early-morning rollover crash in downtown Cedar Rapids, police said.
Officers responded just before 2 a.m. to the single-vehicle crash in the 800 block of Eighth Avenue SE, near Mercy Medical Center. The driver, 54-year-old Walter Wilson, suffered minor injuries in the crash, police said.
After receiving treatment at St. Luke's Hospital, police arrested Wilson on suspicion of drunken driving.
Sgt. Michael Wallerstedt said formal charges have not yet been filed, pending test results.
Wilson was taken to the Linn County Jail, and was released later Monday morning after his court appearance.
