Car goes down embankment into UI Field Hockey scoreboard
Emergency crews responded to the UI Hawkeye Field Hockey complex around 11 a.m. Friday after a car drove down an embankment and nearly onto the field.
The driver lost control on Melrose Avenue, sending the car down a 100 foot embankment and into the scoreboard.
An ambulance took the driver away from the scene. The driver's condition wasn't immediately available.
It's not clear why the driver lost control and left the roadway. The crash remains under investigation.
