An 18-year-old Ottumwa man faces a murder charge in a fatal stabbing.
Ottumwa Police Chief Jim Clark says in a news release that officers had been sent to the report of a stabbing around 3 p.m. Sunday. They found 34-year-old Andy Madren suffering from several wounds.
Clark says Madren was taken to Ottumwa Regional Health Center, where he was pronounced dead just after 5 p.m.
Officers soon arrested Brandon Seim on a charge of first-degree murder. He's being held in the Wapello County Jail.
Online court records don't yet list the case.
