Cedar Rapids firefighters fill Boots with $32,000
CEDAR RAPIDS - The firefighters' boots runneth over.
The department raised $32,350 in its annual Fill the Boot fundraiser for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Firefighters stood at intersections across the city during the Labor Day weekend, asking passing drivers to donate money into their boots. The Cedar Rapids Firefighters raised more money for the MDA than any other fire department in Iowa.
