A former Muscatine County judge has been accused of violating his parole.
Fifty-eight-year-old James Weaver was arrested Monday in Johnson County and has been returned to the Muscatine County Jail. A jailer said Weaver remained in custody on Wednesday, pending bail of $2,000.
Court records don't list the name of his attorney or what Weaver is alleged to have done to violate his parole.
Weaver has been in and out of prison for drunken driving and two previous parole violations. He pleaded guilty in August 2009 to third-offense operating while intoxicated. He had OWI convictions in 2002 and 2004.
He left prison in April on parole after serving 10 months for violating his parole a second time.
Weaver was an associate judge from 1982 to 2004.
