Kimm, Harlan Charles
Harlan Charles Kimm, of Marengo, died Monday, April 12, 2010, at Willow Care Center in Hannibal, Mo. A graveside memorial service, with full military honors, will be at 11 a.m. May 15 at Union Cemetery in Hartwick, Iowa, with a celebration of his life to follow. The James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal, Mo., is in charge of arrangements. There will be no visitation.
Harlan will be greatly missed by many. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served during World War II. In earlier years, Harlan farmed and had ponies and horses that he loved sharing with all. He liked gardening and cooking up big pots of soup for his grandkids.
Harlan was preceded in death by his parents, Porter and Esther, one sister, Dahlen; his wife, LaDonna; granddaughters, Lisa and Michelle; and great-granddaughter, Faith.
Harlan was also a brother to Dale, Franny, Marion, Kenny, Earl, Russel and Regina. He was the father to Charles, Ed and Pam; stepfather to Debbie and Dwight; grandfather to Kim, Jared, Jeremy, Andy, Kyle, Kevin and Brent; and great-grandfather to Elle, Olivia, Noah, Landon, Mya, Elijah, Owen, Lily, Izabella and Jaxson. He was a friend to many.
Memorial contributions may be made to Willow Care Center, in care of the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.
