100 chickens killed in Iowa barn fire

WEST LIBERTY, Iowa (AP) - As many as 100 chickens have been killed in a barn fire near West Liberty.

The fire was reported Tuesday afternoon. The barn housed about 100 chickens. Most were lost in the fire.

The owner of the barn was asleep at the time and didn't know how the fire started.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
