Brown, Eric Ray 'Lil'E'
Eric Ray Brown “Lil'E,” 22, of Summerville, S.C., died Saturday, April 3, 2010. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Grandview Gathering Room, Main Office, 5410 Wabash St. SW, Cedar Rapids.
Eric was born Sept. 24, 1987, in Charleston, S.C., son of John William Brown of Summerville and Lisa Sanderson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was a graduate of Summerville High School and was attending Trident Technical College. He served in the United States Army with the 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Ga. He enjoyed recording and producing music, playing drums, riding dirt bikes and was a great baseball player.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Johnethan Clay Brown of Charleston, S.C.; grandmothers, Judy Brown and Betty Smith, both of Cedar Rapids; great-grandmother, Beatrice LeClere of Cedar Rapids; and several aunts and uncles.
