Two Coralville residents are accused of child endangerment without injury and felony drug charges after authorities say they found heroin at their apartment Monday.
Coralville police say a search warrant was executed at 1500 Fifth St. Apt. B5, the residence of Lloyd C. Jamerson III, 31,and Taisha K. Poole, 26, at 10:08 p.m. Monday.
During the search, approximately 12 grams of heroin was located in a freezer. Three children, ages 2, 5 and 7, were at home during the search.
Police say Poole admitted that she knew the heroin was in the apartment, and Jamerson admitted that the drugs in the freezer were his.
Poole also told officers that she smoked marijuana at home while the three children were present, according to police reports.
The search was conducted after Jamerson allegedly delivered 1.22 grams of heroin to a Johnson County Task Force informant at the Coralville Hy-Vee Sept. 12. His three children were with him during the exchange, police said.
Jamerson and Poole were being held on respective $57,500 and $27,500 bonds at the Johnson County Jail Tuesday.
Jamerson faces three charges of felony C controlled substance violation, one charge of felony D failure to affix tax stamp and child endangerment without injury.
Poole also faces a felony C controlled substance violation, failure to affix tax stamp and child endangerment without injury.
