As a parent within the Iowa City Community School District, I have been witness to the challenges and successes that come with educating our children in such a rapidly growing and economically diverse community.
The candidates for Iowa City school board this year present a tremendous amount of talent in their work achievements and involvement within our communities.
Chris Lynch, though, stands out. He is a proven leader in his work life, bringing people together to achieve common goals locally, domestically and internationally. He is also a proven advocate for our children, having served on the Comprehensive School Improvement Planning committee and coleading the District One-Yes campaign this year.

Ultimately, though, he is a person I trust to make educational decisions that are student focused and bring the school board to a new level of responsiveness and effectiveness that will benefit us all.
He can represent the needs of our diverse community by bringing his proven leadership skills and abilities to the school board.
