I am casting my vote for Jason T. Lewis for Iowa City Community School Board of Education. Lewis has a track record that proves he is the best voice for true equity across the Iowa City school district.
As a Mark Twain Elementary PTO member and former president, Lewis offers unending support to the teachers and students in that building. As an engaged community member, he has extended that support to every child in the district. It is his focus on renovating the aging facilities in the district that will ensure that every child has a safe and welcoming learning environment.
He realizes that it is going to take the support of the whole community to achieve his goals. That is why he has reached out to the City Council, partnering with it to revitalize the Twain neighborhood. This is real-world experience that he can bring to the school board.

He also has been vocal about innovating learning environments such as magnet programming and a return of the vocational training program.
