Springville hosts Extreme Quarry Run

Running: Fun run 6k benefiting school children held at the Wendling Quarries Inc. Bowser Quarry

Approximately 180 runners participated in the  Springville Extreme Quarry Run on Saturday in Springville at the Wendling Quarries Inc. Bowser Quarry. The run is a fundraiser for Springville's Operation Backpack Program. The program provides school children with nutritious, kid-friendly foods each Friday that school is in session. The food is packed by volunteers, and each child brings home about 6.5 pounds of food per week. Brett Stephenson won the event in a time of 21:32.17.
