Iowa 7th in Big Ten media basketball poll
Oct. 23, 2012 3:59 pm
The Iowa men's basketball team was tabbed for seventh place in the preseason Big Ten media basketball poll.
Indiana, which was selected nationally as the preseason No. 1, was ranked first in the poll, followed by Michigan and Ohio State. All three programs are ranked in the top five nationally in the preseason USA Today Coaches poll.
Iowa received five sixth-place votes, eight seventh-place and eight eighth-place votes. The Hawkeyes had two ninth-place votes and one 10th-place vote.
