Here's some players video from Tuesday.

Here's video once again from cornerback Micah Hyde. He said his incident could've "easily been resolved" and it "didn't have to get that far." He believes more will come out when the case is adjudicated. He said Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz wants to keep it in-house at the moment. "You've got to look through the media and see what the problem really was."

Linebacker Christian Kirksey will step in for Hyde as a captain this week. I'm not sure the captain thing means a whole lot in football, but if you listen to Kirksey, you can tell it's something he cares about. That in and of itself shows captaincy still carries some weight within the structure of a team.

RB Mark Weisman is totally freaked out by this weekend's off-the-field. Kidding. "Not really. It is what it is. You can't change what happened." And then he moved on. I don't think the three legal run-ins have rippled through the complex this week. When this came up with players, it was met with a shrug. Does Weisman believe his magic carpet ride of yards and TDs will continue against, without question, the toughest defense Iowa will have faced this season and maybe all season at East Lansing this weekend. "We'll see."

If you're into hunting, specifically deer hunting, you're going to want to tune into this QB James Vandenberg video. Apparently, this kid's excellent run with the bow continued last weekend at home in Keokuk. He apparently bagged a legendary buck that his dad and brother have only seen before. Vandenberg got the shot from 21 yards out. Could this be an omen???

DL Steve Bigach talks about his life as a DL and this weekend's challenge in East Lansing. I asked about DT and technique. He's working on it, but these guys never feel as though they've arrived. "The minute you think you've got it is when you start to slide." The team is "green and growing," Bigach said. I asked if the drop off not being as steep as it's been has allowed the DL to improve across the board.

Senior DE Joe Gaglione talks about the "old school" challenge Iowa's D faces this week. He compared it to the 9-on-7 drill, where the offense gets the nine and the defense gets the seven.

Linebacker Anthony Hitchens on tackling MSU RB Le'Veon Bell, who's 6-2, 244 pounds, "Just keep your eyes up and try to get your body on his body. You can't go for the kill shot."

DE Dominic Alvis on Bell, "Basically, keep your eyes up. You notice that when a guy gets hurdled, he's dropping his head. Basically, keep your eyes up and drive the legs."
