Here are some pictures and videos from the beginning of practice Wednesday at Kinnick.
First defense works on moving when the ball is snapped. They also might be walking through some blitzes here.
This is the second offense. One thing about new OC Greg Davis, the offense worked at a blistering pace to open practice. All 11, too. In the past, it's been individual units.

Here's some with the first-team offense. Redshirt freshman Austin Blythe appears to be a starter at right guard.
This is definitely the defense doing some blitz stuff. I wouldn't read too much into it. It was the first-teamers.
If you're a fan of Iowa's initial stretching drill, take a good look. This is the last time I'll post any stretching video. I just wanted to show off my burgeoning videography skills.
This gives you a taste for the pace the offense was rolling at during the beginning of practice.
Here's another pace drill for the offense.
One more. I'm not sure you can hear new TE coach David Raih yelling, "They can't intercept that, that's a touchdown." He was coaching tight ends on positioning their bodies between the ball and the defender.

The man in the long-sleeved gray T-shirt in the background is head coach Kirk Ferentz. He spent the beginning of the practice hovering over the defense. (Marc Morehouse)
