Tuesday night surprise

Reid Sealby and family returned to their Byron, Ill., home after taking a recruiting trip to the Air Force Academy last weekend.
It looked good for Air Force. Then Tuesday night, Iowa called. After maybe eight hours to think about it, the 6-4, 250-pounder signed with the Hawkeyes.
"We talked to Iowa for the first time last week," Reid's father, Randy Sealby, told HawkeyeReport.com. "Out of nowhere they called and said they were interested, but they didn't make any kind of offer so we went out to Air Force and really liked it, but then Iowa came through with an offer last night so our heads were spinning."

Former Hawkeye safety and current Arizona Cardinal Sean Considine also is a Byron High School product. Sealby never had a chance to visit, but the family knows Considine and that was enough.
"Sean Considine is from here and is a friend of ours," Randy Sealby said. "In fact, he's building a house just a couple of miles from where we live. We knew that he really enjoyed his time there, so we kind of talked about it as a family and decided it's a lot closer to home and obviously a real quality program, so we went with Iowa."
Sealby played on the offensive and defensive lines and was the long snapper for Byron. Sealby's athleticism could lead him to a spot on the defensive line at Iowa.
As of this moment, Iowa has 24 commitments. O-line Alex Kozan's commitment remains unknown. He could be No. 25 in the next few minutes.
