Three Hawkeyes Receive All-Big Ten Honors

IOWA CITY-- The 2010-11 all-Big Ten awards were announced Monday, with Kachine Alexander, Jaime Printy and Kamille Wahlin receiving honors.

Alexander was a first team all-Big Ten selection by both the league media and coaches. She was also one of six players named to the Big Ten all-Defensive team. Printy was a second team all-Big Ten pick by the coaches and a third team all-Big Ten choice by the media. Wahlin was an honorable mention selection by the Big Ten media and coaches.
Alexander is the eighth player in school history to earn first team honors twice in a career. The Minneapolis, MN, native's 9.4 rebounds per game are the most for any guard in Division I women's basketball. She ranks third in the Big Ten in rebounding.
Alexander became just the fifth player in Big Ten history to record 1,000 career points, 800 career rebounds and 300 career assists. Alexander also tallied nine double-doubles, which are the most for any Big Ten guard and the fifth-most for any Big Ten player this season.
Alexander is the first Hawkeye to earn multiple Big Ten all-Defensive team honors. Alexander earned second team all-Big Ten accolades as a sophomore and first team honors as a junior.
Printy leads Iowa and ranks fifth in the Big Ten with 16.4 points per game. She also ranks second in free throw percentage (.872), third in three-pointers made (2.2 per game) and eighth in three-point percentage (.379). The Marion, Iowa, native has scored double figures in 25 of Iowa's 29 games, including one 30-point game and eight 20-point contests. She has nailed three or more three-pointers in 10 games and shot .500 or better from three-point distance 12 times.
Printy closed the regular season as the Big Ten Player of the Week, netting a career-high 32 points vs. Illinois and 28 points at Indiana.
Printy was named Big Ten Freshman of the Year, was a member of the all-Big Ten Freshman team and was a second team all-Big Ten member last year.
Wahlin became the 28
Wahlin was a member of the all-Big Ten Freshman team in 2009 and was third team all-Big Ten in 2010.

The Crookston, Minn, native has nine games with five or more assists and 10 games with 10 or more points and five or more assists.
