Youth notebook: 15 Moser athletes win tumbling titles

DES MOINES — Carly Cronbaugh of Somersaults Gymnastic won five events at the Xcel Invitational and Junior Olympic state meet, hosted by Sapphire Gymnastics.

Cronbaugh won the vault, bars, beam, floor exercise and all around Xcel Bronze. Addison Wilkinson (bars, floor, all around) in Silver, Isabelle Howsare (vault, beam, all around) in Gold and Ashley Lappin (bars, beam, all around) in Platinum were triple winners. Bentley Rust (bars, all around) in Bronze and Grace Prull (beam, all around) in Gold were double winners.

Other Somersault winners were Audra Peterson (floor), Emeri Hill (beam) and Esti Bishop (all around) in Bronze and Natalie Osterberg (bars), Annie Haars (vault) and Trinity Mitchell (floor) in Silver.

Placewinners were Hailey Marlin and Tayah Mims in Bronze; Sophia Sunner, Kiersten Swart, Taylor Brejcha and Tierney Hill in Silver; and Bailey Hakert, Sophia Bunch, Ava Christensen, Baylee Gabrielson and Logan Kalous in Gold.

15 from Moser win tumbling gold

MELCHER — Fifteen members of the Moser School of Dance and Gymnastics team won gold at a USTA Power Tumbling meet that included 13 teams and more than 250 athletes earlier this month.

Winners were Hannabelle Erickson, Memphis Voelker, Gabrielle Guilford, Kadence Pape, Isabel Lutgen, Logan Bevans, Adysen Frieden, Taylor Mullis, Madeline Martin, Alexa Ries, Kennedi Bevans, Jason Recker, Tucker Erickson, Brody Ries and Kaia Engelhardt.

Melanie Lutgen placed second, along with Paige Kremer, Brian Kammiller, Maddesyn Demmer, Elizabeth Recker, Megan Pierschbacher, Kreighton Peck, Maya Pierce, Lexus Fleming, Ella Krivanek, Kristina Kammiller, Aaliyah Rosenthal and Ava Holtz. Placing third were Megan Brase, Savanna Lehman, Rylee Crubel, Ingrid Vaughn, Macey Krivanek, Madelyn Bockenstedt, Lilly Shaw and Laura Pierschbacher.
