IOWA CITY — The University of Colorado women’s track program has landed another star from Iowa City West.

Senior distance ace Bailey Nock said on Twitter on Friday that she has committed to run for the Buffaloes.

“I’ve dreamed about running for the Buffs since I was a little girl, and I’m very excited to say that goal has come true,” Nock tweeted.

Nock was a triple-winner at the state meet last year, capturing Class 4A titles in the 3,000 (10:03.22) and 1,500 (4:39.48) as well as the anchor of the distance medley relay. She was fourth in the 800.

A state cross country champion as a junior, Nock was the Class 4A runner-up last fall.

Nock will join former West teammate Valerie Welch in Boulder.
