Marion hires Scott Fruehling as softball coach

He will succeed Kim Knapp, who resigned after 11 seasons

MARION — Scott Fruehling has been announced as the new head softball coach at Marion High School.

Fruehling succeeds Kim Knapp, who resigned after serving 11 sseasons. He is in his 26th year of teaching at Marion High School, where he has taught social studies and business education.

During his time at Marion he has served as an assistant coach for girls track and field, football, baseball and softball, and also has helped as a strength and conditioning coach.

Marion was 14-23 last season.
