Iowa colleges — Hunter Koenigsfeld of Cedar Rapids (Jefferson), Megan Sprengeler of Walford (Cedar Rapids Prairie) and Claire Rutherford (City High) and Taylor West (West) of Iowa City earned all-Big Ten academic honors as members of the Iowa women’s rowing team.

Nathan Fitzgerald of Elkader (Central) earned his third varsity letter as a member of the Central men’s track and field team and won the discus at the Iowa Conference Championships.

Alex Rath of Kalona (Mid-Prairie) earned all-Big Ten academic honors as a member of the Iowa softball team.

Tanner Rathje of Marion (Linn-Mar) earned his fourth varsity letter as a member of the Central men’s track and field team, placing third in the Iowa Conference meet in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.

Iowa senior Adrienne Jensen of Iowa City (West) earned Big Ten all-academic honors in women’s tennis.

Coe senior Brady Anderson of Cedar Rapids (Linn-Mar) was named winner of the ITA National Arthur Ashe Leadership and Sportsmanship Award for NCAA Division III men’s tennis.

Matt Manternach of Monticello, Nolan Teubel of Lisbon and Tysen VanDraska of Swisher (Cedar Rapids Prairie) earned all-Big Ten academic honors as members of the Iowa men’s track and field team.

Steve Adkins of Williamsburg earned his third varsity letter as a member of the Central men’s track and field team.

Julie Hollensbe of Williamsburg earned all-Big Ten academic honors as a member of the Iowa women’s track and field team, along with Kara Misel of Solon, Sarah Plock (City High) and Tia Saunders (West) of Iowa City and Macie Weber of Cascade.

Cornell freshman Zach Stone of Coralville (I.C. West) earned all-Central Region honors from D3baseball.com (second team) and ABCA/Rawlings (third team)
