Highland settles for 4th

State softball: Woodbury Central beats Huskies in 2A 3rd-place game

FORT DODGE — Woodbury Central jumped to a 5-0 lead and banged out 13 hits in an 8-3 win over Highland in the Class 2A third-place game at the state softball tournament Friday at the Rogers Sports Complex.

The No. 1 ranked teamcoming into the tournament, Highland finished 32-3.

Cheyann Adamson was 4-for-4 for the Huskies. Courtnee Hahn, Morgan Craig and Seaira Drish added two hits apiece.
