NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Cedar Rapids Sizzlers granny basketball team has done it again.

The Sizzlers, who won their third straight state tournament in June, became national champions recently.

CROJGA hands out yearly honors

The Cedar Rapids Optimist Junior Golf Association named its Golfers of the Year Winners last week.

The junior golfers were awarded the trophies at the completion of Monday’s tournament at Twin Pines.

The girls’ winners were Emily Machula (15-18 years old), Tori Niemeyer (13-14), Emma Sorg (11-12) and Jenna Kramer (8-10). Boys’ winners were Tyler Stueck (15-18), Brock Barnhart (13-14), Dillon Burr (11-12) and Reid Hall (8-10).
