Kirkwood women's basketball advances to national championship game

HARRISON, Ark. — The Kirkwood women’s basketball team advanced to the NJCAA Division II championship after defeating Kankakee Community College, 76-49 in the semifinals Friday night.

Deleyah Harris and Olivia Usher each scored 17 points to lead Kirkwood (36-0).

Top-ranked Kirkwood will try for its sixth national crown, and first since 2010, Saturday at 7:30 p.m. against Johnson County Community College at Pioneer Pavilion.
