Iowa finished the season 7-5 with a 56-14 thumping of Nebraska, and while the Music City and Pinstripe Bowls are the most-common picks for the Hawkeyes’ December destination, Brett McMurphy reported the Holiday Bowl is a fan of Iowa’s.

In his bowl projections for theScore.com, McMurphy said the Holiday Bowl could pass on a 9-3 Northwestern team that beat Iowa 17-10 for the Hawkeyes.

Here’s what a few other national outlets came up with this week. Iowa will learn its bowl fate Sunday.

Jerry Palm, CBS Sports: Pinstripe vs. North Carolina State

Kyle Bonagura, ESPN: Music City vs. Texas A&M

David M. Hale, ESPN: Foster Farms vs. Washington State
