Iowa colleges — Streeter McIlravy of Solon is a freshman on the Iowa Lakes Community College men’s basketball team, averaging 9.1 points per game with 24 starts ... Tanner Rathje of Marion (Linn-Mar) earned his third varsity letter as a member of the Central men’s cross country team and was named all-Central Region and all-Iowa Conference for the second year in a row. Rathje also earned all-academic honors from the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association ... Zach Daniels of Robins (C.R. Kennedy), Derek Lieurance of Cascade, Corbin Woods (Xavier) and Sammy Lizarraga (Kennedy) of Cedar Rapids, Elijah Wood of Washington (Iowa), Nick Gallagher of Iowa City (West) and C.J. Eldred of Mount Vernon are members of the University of Iowa baseball team ... Alex Oldham of Anamosa earned the Dutch Spirit Award as a member of the Central women’s cross country team ... Illinois colleges — For the second time already in the 2017 indoor track season, Augustana senior Isaac Smith of Marion (Marion), a senior at Augustana College in Rock Island, has been named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin track athlete of the week twice already this season. Smith is a three-time indoor All-American, including a national champion as a member of the Viking’ 1,600 relay in 2015. He’s a three-time CCIW indoor champion.
