CEDAR RAPIDS — The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders are asking their fans to make their town “Hockeyville USA.”

Kraft Foods again this year is sponsoring the Hockeyville USA contest, in which fans are asked to nominate and provide testimonials for their favorite local rink. The grand-prize winner receives $150,000 in free upgrades and will host an official 2017-18 National Hockey League preseason contest.

Nine other prizes also are being awarded, from $10,000 in arena upgrades to $75,000. The Cedar Rapids Ice Arena opened in 2000 and is in need of improvements and upgrades.

To nominate the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena, go to www.krafthockeyville.com. The site is taking nominations for nine more days.
