Amera Ntakuritimana powers Twisters Gymnastics at Winter Wonderland

CORALVILLE — Amera Ntakuritimana of Twisters Gymnastics won the balance beam, bars and all around at the Winter Wonderland Invitational hosted by Iowa GymNest, helping her Platinum team to a runner-up finish.

Twisters also finished second in the Silver, Gold and Diamond divisions.

Eve Hansen (beam, all around) and Annabelle Neal (vault, all around) were double-winners in Silver.

Other Twisters winners were Rylynn Shepley (floor exercise) in Silver, Audrey Leno (vault), Madison Marcus (bars), Abigail Green (bars) and Ellie Martens (beam) in Gold, Sophie Wilbanks (floor) in Platinum, and Skylar Meyers (bars) in Diamond.

Twisters placewinners were Addison Kellogg, Aubrey Sires and Hailey Cutter in Silver; Katie Hurkett, Avery Basquin, Larissa Cleveland, Maya Karl and Leah Crilley in Gold; Amelia Berger, Blair Pladsen and Anna Cater in Platinum; and Sarah Nolting in Diamond.

Somersaults has 4 double winners

CORALVILLE — Audra Peterson, Addison Wilkinson, Sophia Sunner and Annie Haars of Somersaults Gymnastics were double-winners at the Winter Wonderland Invitational.

Peterson won the beam and all around in the Bronze division; Wilkinson the vault and beam, Sunner the bars and all around and Haars the vault and beam, all in Silver.

Other Somersaults winners were Carly Cronbaugh (floor exercise) and Emeri Hill (floor) in Bronze, Maya Carrizales (bars) and Natalie Osterberg (beam) in Silver, and Logan Kalous (all around) in Gold.

Placewinnersr were Bentley Rust in Bronze; Aubrey Langton and Emma York in Silver; Isabelle Howsare and Baylee Gabrielson in Gold; and Ashley Lappin in Platinum.

Secora wins 5 golds for CRAG


CORALVILLE — Emersyn Secora of the Cedar Rapids Association of Gymnastics won five events at the Iowa GymNest’s Winter Wonderland, capturing the vault, bars, beam, floor exercise and all around in the Gold Division.

She also swept the same five events at the Candy Land Classic a week earlier.

CRAG’s Alivia Foster won three Gold events at the Winter Wonderland, claiming gold in the beam, floor and all around. Riley Smith (vault, floor, all around) and Sidney Davidson (vault, bars, all around) were triple-winners in Level 7, and Jenna Danninger won three Level 9 titles (vault, bars, all around).

Megan Doyle (bars, floor) was double-winner in Silver and Alexis Spence (vault, bars) won two Gold titles. Ashleigh Dunham won the floor in the Silver division, Shea Johnson (beam), Autumn Poston (floor) and Lexie Goldsmith (beam) won Level 6 titles, and Ava Andrews (vault) won in Level 7.

CRAG placewinners were Lauren Miller and Mya Gilchrist in Silver; Maggie Schlamp, Isabel Osterhaus, Brooke Glasbrenner, Hannah Behrends and Grace Noring in Gold; Anna Weaver, Madilyn Tumilty and Jaeden Humphries in Level 6; Maanasa Chinnakonda, Hailey Hakes, Natalie Freeman and Grace Walker in Level 7; Carly Mark and Maya Deuso in Level 9; and Kareena McSweeny in Level 10.

Miller (vault, floor, all around) in Silver and Foster (bars, floor, all around) in Gold were triple winners at the Candy Land Classic, and Amara Isaac (bars, all around) won twice in Silver.

Doyle (bars) in Silver, and Schlamp (vault), Lindsay Ginger (beam) and Glasbrenner (beam) in Gold also were winners.

Top three finishers were Dunham and Apolline Pedron in Silver, Gracie Drury and Osterhaus in Gold.
