Respect, compassion for elderly have eroded

As I sit here, I can’t help but think of the mess our country is in. Things don’t seem to be getting any better. Many of our mutual concerns we had for each other as Americans have vanished. Respect and compassion for our elderly greatly have roded. Pride in our country and ourselves as members of a great nation has been besmirched by our elected officials on all levels of government. This is a very different world I live in today from the one I entered into some 80 years ago.

For this I am very sad.
