Please stand and respect the flag

I am a Vietnam veteran and was a very avid NFL fan, watching any and all games I could. Also, I have attended games in past years, but this year I have not watched one single game.

As I stated, I am a Vietnam veteran (partially disabled) and I feel the knives entering my back, as when I returned, from the players kneeling for our American flag and national anthem.

Now I see the NFL has refused to use an ad by AMVETS that simply stated “please stand” with an American flag. How sad our countrymen seem to support this.

The knives really hurt again.
