Nutrition vital to preventing disease

Type 2 diabetes and heart disease are epidemic. Most Type 2 diabetes and heart disease patients are told they will probably have these diseases and require prescription medication for the rest of their lives and possibly require surgery and then more medication. I propose this is not true as they are both primarily diet-related, preventable and reversible.

I have met with and read about people who have reversed these diseases. I also have read a number of recent books by notable MDs and attended a number of presentations by respected MDs and RDs, some of which are listed below. They have been very convincing.

But please do not believe me. There are a number of excellent books, by respected MDs, with extensive knowledge about nutrition, explaining how to successfully prevent and reverse Type 2 diabetes and heart disease. Some are in the local libraries. Authors to look for are Neal Barnard, Caldwell Esselstyn Jr., Joel Fuhrman, Michael Greger and Dean Ornish.

Greger’s book, How Not to Die, is a No. 1 best seller and one of the best. It includes more than just these two diseases. This book is in the local libraries. Greger’s website nutritionfacts.org is free and has lots of good information.
