Letter: Vote Democratic in 2018

Question. Did you vote Republican in the last election? If you did I assume you do not object to the events occurring in Congress or state legislatures.

President Donald Trump and Gov. Terry Branstad told you what they were going to do. Branstad always has wanted to follow in Wisconsin’s footsteps and that is what he is doing. Trump — well he is a rich egocentric person who has his own agenda. He speaks not the truth, but expects all to believe him, for those who do he has a bridge in Brooklyn for sale, cheap.

Question. Did you vote? If you did not, then I assume you have no interest in what is happening politically in Washington or Des Moines.

If you are marching or gathering in groups to protest, I wish you luck. If you are a woman I am afraid there are a lot more women who do not support you. They wish to destroy Planned Parenthood clinics and the wonderful things they do for women’s health. This, I agree, is a tragic mistake and I hope they do not have future regrets.

If you are a public service worker and a member of a union that will lose its right to collective bargaining, I sympathize. Unions made America and the middle class great, but I guess this is not the great that Republicans believe Trump will get for us. My solution? Vote Democratic in 2018.
