Letter: Traffic cameras make streets safer
Count me as one of those “unreasonable” people whom Adam Sullivan (“Rule of law usurped by robot cams,” Sept. 22) says don’t see speed cameras as a “ploy to extract revenue from private citizens.” I see them as a particularly effective way to control and penalize the lead-foots who can’t seem to obey traffic laws.
All the minor problems Sullivan lists with cameras could (and should) be easily correctable. He spends most of his column on one incident.
I’ll take the safer streets that the cameras have provided for me, my family and our communities.
