Letter: Retiree appreciates former employer

In an age where many often feel employers lack real appreciation for its hardworking employees, I must send accolades to a company with an alternative message.

Procter & Gamble/Oral B sponsors an annual picnic at which they gift current and retired employees with an unbelievably generous assortment of products. Having retired 18 years ago, I appreciate not only the hefty cash value these products represent to me, but the positive signal the company sends to its employees.
