Letter: Real Americans entitled to disagree

Congressman Rod Blum are you defining “real Americans” as only those who agree with you and don’t ask you hard questions? (“Blum says he’ll hold 4 town halls in May,” April 13).

Are Americans not allowed to feel strongly about issues that directly affect their lives?

I am saddened and frankly frightened by your idea that dissent does not happen among real Americans. I’m sure you will have a way of spinning this comment. I will just wait to see how you do it.
