Letter: Reader disappointed in athletic director

As a woman, I am greatly disappointed in former University of Iowa Associate Athletic Director Jane Meyer, who lost her job due to bad behavior.

As a woman, born in 1939, I am awed by equal opportunities women enjoy today. But I am tired when my gender continues to feel entitled to special treatment. Instead, Jane Meyer, why not thank Iowa’s men’s athletic teams for financially supporting Iowa’s women sports.
