I watched the eclipse on TV on Aug. 21 as it crossed our nation. It was awesome in the true meaning of the word. It was probably even more so for those who saw it for real.
There was something else I thought was great — crowds of thousands of people all across the country looking happy and excited, with no agenda but to enjoy the experience of a lifetime.
There were no protesters, people carrying signs or police trying to calm down angry people. It was a pleasure to watch.
