Letter: Outdoor jazz concert was entertaining

I always thought the best entertainment value in Cedar Rapids was the Cedar Rapids Community Concert, www.CRCommunityConcert.org, but then we went to Jazz Under The Stars and saw Eddie Piccard Quintet on Thursday, Aug. 25, at McGrath Amphitheatre.

What a night. Free, except for the five liters of wine and a bag of gondola sandwiches from Sofias. What a night!

Thanks to Eddie, Dennis Green, KCCK and Joe Winters for the perfect weather — finally.
