Letter: Minimum wage increase is generous

Just to put another perspective on the proposed increases in the minimum starting wage, the first year it would increase 13.8 percent, the second year the increase would be 12.1 percent and the third year 10.8 percent.

That looks pretty generous for those of us retired folks on fixed incomes who have seen little or no Social Security increase for years.
