Letter: Educate yourself before voting

In all my years, never have I seen such a nasty and obnoxious campaign for the presidency. I am ashamed of our nation, for many not seeing the error of our ways.

Neither presidential contender has anything to offer the public. I would not want my children to look up to such a crass president. I have considered voting for Minnie Mouse as a way to tell those in control that we are not happy with the candidates. We have no choice. If only I was not afraid of casting a vote that would help no one.

Do you want your children to look up to someone who is guilty of crimes and criminal actions? How about all the lies from both parties, and we are to pick one? We are killing ourselves from within. We need to bond together and become one, to become a people to be respected and known as such. We need to become a nation united. No skin color or anything else should determine otherwise.

Sadly, I am not sure how my vote will count or even what it will be. Study the truth before you vote. Don’t be dissuaded by lies and double talk. Be knowledgeable when you vote.
