Letter: Country is headed in the wrong direction

What does deconstruction of the administrative state mean? Steve Bannon says the “cabinet nominees were selected for a reason and that is deconstruction.” Is that similar to the final solution of all agencies? His ideas scare me.

The cabinet is made up of: Steven Mnuchin, known for buying defunct banks and taking people’s homes; Betsy DeVos, who stopped restroom protections for transgendered children; Scott Pruitt who as Oklahoma attorney general on multiple occasions signed his name to official letters largely drafted by lobbyists; Tom Price, who was alleged to be involved in insider trading; Jeff Sessions, a buddy of Russia; and Rex Tillerson, who was involved in an oil refinery in Africa owned by Exxon — all profits go to a dictator and his family, while citizens of the country suffer from severe poverty. It goes on and on. Destruction for sure.

Most of us who remember World War II are worried about a dictator who lies controlling our country. The Koch Brothers are involved in our government from top to bottom, breaking unions and health care pacts. Rep. Ken Rizer from Linn County told me he received $1,500 from them. I find that scary. Imagine what the politicians receive at the top level. We must hope and pray our media survives and that we don’t end up like Germany did, taking them away for good.

Who will be next? Maybe me for writing this!
