Latest products and goods lack quality

Today when I go purchase something new, be it a belt to hold my overalls up, a battery charger for my lawn tractor, or a two cell LED flashlight, they’re all temporary. Anything I buy new doesn’t last very long. We need quality infused into goods we need and use, like when Americans made our stuff. Quality of products and goods have fallen by the wayside, so as to encourage more buying and this only is making our landfills full.

If I have the receipt in my hand, the big box store might replace or refund the unusable item returned to that store. Trouble is, I can lose the receipt as soon as I get home from shopping. Then I’m stuck. My problem then is to find a bag to put the unusable, broken item into, to hide it so the garbage man will get rid of it for me. My neighbors must have the same problems with the shoddy made things from China, because on garbage day there are mountains of garbage waiting out by the road curb for the garbage truck. Will big landfills by our legacy to leave behind for our future generations?
