Investigation is FBI doing its job

I don’t see how to bridge this gap.

If you are asked if the FBI received evidence that members of the Clinton campaign were holding meetings with persons with contacts to the Iranian government and should investigate what was happening, and your response is, “Absolutely!” and then you are asked if the FBI received information that members of the Trump campaign were holding meetings with persons with contacts to the Russian government and should investigate, and your response is, “That’s evidence of the Deep State!” and you don’t see the hypocrisy in those vastly different responses, then we really have nothing to bring us together.

If, on the other hand, you can see that the answer to those two questions should be the same, perhaps there is room for communication. To my knowledge, only one campaign in our history had contacts with a foreign government and didn’t report them to any branch of government even when notified that these contacts might occur. This investigation is the FBI doing its job. You would expect it if either of those scenarios had happened, but only one did.
