Fire department expo was a success

The Cedar Rapids Fire Department hosted its first Adult Resource Expo on March 28 and it was a total success.

On behalf of the Fire Marshal’s Community Risk Reduction/Public Education team, in addition to the citizens who attended this event, we would like to thank Marion Wal-Mart, KMRY-FM, WMT-AM, KZIA-FM, Mediacom, City Revealed magazine, The Gazette/Hoopla, CBS2/KGAN and neighborhood businesses who allowed our guests/vendors to park in their lots during this event.

Special thanks to CRFD fire marshal, chiefs, firefighters (current and retired), staff (CRFD and city custodial employees) and the community volunteers who helped with this event. This event was successful because of the enthusiastic help and support of everyone involved.
