Sometimes the biggest stories of the year are literally about big things, in this case the potential for a big addition to the Cedar Rapids skyline.

The city of Cedar Rapids has currently thrown its support behind the $103 million, 28-story building on a city owned parking lot on Third Avenue SE near the Paramount Theatre. At its current scope, it would be the largest one of the largest development projects in the history of the city.

The project, as it currently is imagined, could include a grocery store, hotel, parking ramp, condos, apartments and a rooftop restaurant
