Two teenagers die in Decorah crash

Multiple other victims sent to hospital

CEDAR RAPIDS — Two Decorah teens died Monday morning when their vehicle lost control.

Avery Arneson, 17, and Aden Arneson, 13, of Decorah died when the vehicle Avery Arneson was driving lost control while going northbound on County Road W40, crossing the centerline and sliding sideways.

Gage Dahlberg, 15, of Decorah, was driving southbound along the road at about 8:30 a.m. when his Ford F151 struck Arneson’s Oldsmobile Alero. Dalhberg and three others were transported to area hospitals with injuries, according to the crash report.
